What is the Text Converter tool?

The Text Converter is a free online tool that allows you to transform your text into various formats including uppercase, lowercase, title case, sentence case, and more. It also provides additional text manipulation features like converting between numbers and words, HTML encoding/decoding, and different naming conventions like camelCase or snake_case.

How do I convert to uppercase or lowercase?

Simply paste or type your text into the input box, then select either "UPPERCASE" or "lowercase" from the conversion type dropdown menu. Click the "Convert Text" button and your text will be instantly transformed to the selected case.

What's the difference between Title Case and Capitalized Case?

Title Case capitalizes the first letter of each main word while keeping small connecting words (like "and", "the", "of") lowercase, following standard title capitalization rules. Capitalized Case capitalizes the first letter of every word regardless of its type or importance in the sentence.

Can I convert numbers to words with this tool?

Yes! Select "number to text" from the conversion options and enter a number (like 42) in the input field. The tool will convert it to words ("forty-two"). The reverse is also possible by selecting "text to number" and entering words like "one hundred twenty-three" to get the numeric value (123).

What are the different case formats available?

The tool supports several specialized case formats:

  • camelCase: firstWordLowerCaseThenCapitalized
  • PascalCase: EveryWordCapitalized
  • snake_case: words_with_underscores
  • kebab-case: words-with-hyphens
  • dot.case: words.with.dots
These are commonly used in programming and web development.

Is there a limit to how much text I can convert?

The tool can handle reasonably large amounts of text (several thousand characters), but extremely large texts may cause performance issues. For best results, we recommend converting text in sections if you're working with very large documents.

Does the tool store or save my text?

No, all conversions happen in your browser and we don't store or save any of the text you input. Your data remains private and secure on your device.
